Hello! I'm a sound engineer and lover of music and film.

I studied Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister) at the University of Surrey, and through their placement scheme was first employed at AIR Studios. They hired me after graduation and after ten years of experience moving from assistant to recordist, editor and engineer, I am now freelance under AIR Management.

I've been lucky at AIR to work on a huge variety of projects in many different genres - from film and TV scores to classical albums, big band, jazz, rock, pop, bluegrass... and everything in-between! So while I suppose I specialise in scoring, there is so much scope in film music that I am just as happy recording an orchestra as I am mixing an electronic album!

Recently I have been mixing for Dario Marianelli on the new Transformers film ’Bumblebee’, recording strings with Jacob Collier and working on albums with Rupert Cross, Rael Jones and Laurie Holloway. Earlier in the year I mixed John Metcalfe's album 'Absence' and worked closely with Marc Shaiman as recordist and score editor on ‘Mary Poppins Returns’.

During my 10 years I've done a lot of score and classical editing, making the music sound as good as it can before mixing. I also have experience as a film music editor, working on projects such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Beauty and the Beast, and the Netflix drama series: The Alienist.

I am particularly passionate about working with artists who are new to the world of film. With my experience in music editing and mixing, I feel I can help translate for the composer and deliver to the dub in the most organised way without restricting creativity.

Although AIR will always be home, I am happy to work wherever suits the project best. I have enjoyed sessions at Abbey Road, RAK, British Grove, Strongroom, Urchin, Snap… whatever sound and space you need and whatever budget, I can help you decide on the right place to work.

If mixing in one of the big rooms isn’t possible I have a small set-up at home for stereo mixing using an iMac, ATC SCM25A monitors and more fun plugins than you can shake a stick at. I also share a room in Hornsey which is set up for 5.1 mixing and has the option of a live area.
